Air Arabia resumes Sharjah-Damascus flights
UAE airline to operate double daily flights
SHARJAH: Air Arabia, the region’s first and largest low-cost carrier, has officially resumed its non-stop flights between Sharjah and Damascus.
A departure ceremony was held at Sharjah International Airport on Wednesday morning. It was attended by Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority; Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali; and Ziad Yahya Zaher Edin, Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Consulate in the UAE.
The arriving flight at Damascus International Airport was welcomed with a special ceremony.
UAE Ambassador to Syria, Hasan Ahmed Mohammed Sulaiman Alshehhi, joined senior airport officials and other dignitaries for the occasion.
Double daily flights
The airline now offers double daily non-stop flights on the route, aimed at increasing flexibility and improving travel convenience between the UAE and Syria.
Customers can book directly via the Air Arabia website, call centre, or through travel agents.
Fleet and services
Air Arabia’s fleet comprises Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, known for their efficiency and comfort. The airline’s in-flight experience includes 'SkyTime', a complimentary streaming service, and 'SkyCafe', which features a selection of meals and beverages.
Loyalty programme
Travellers can also earn points through 'Air Rewards', regarded as the most generous loyalty programme in the region.
